Devotee offered 5 kg gold crown worth Rs 6 crore to Dagdusheth confectioner Ganpati on Ganesh Chaturthi

On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the whole country is immersed in the celebration of welcoming Bappa home. Ganesh Chaturthi also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, is the celebration of the birth of Lord Ganesha. This time Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated on 10 September 2021.

Ganesh Chaturthi day holds more importance in Maharashtra and is celebrated as one of the major festivals of the state and lasts for 10 days. It is learned that a Bappa devotee offered 5 kg of gold on Ganesh Chaturthi festival at Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple at a cost of Rs 6 crore.

On this particular day, prasad was made by this devotee and the idol of Bappa was decorated with new clothes, ornaments including new 5 kg-gold.

Amid the coronavirus second wave outbreak, strict protocols are in place. Restrictions have been imposed in Maharashtra, where Ganesh Chaturthi is a major festival.
