Realme recently expanded its audio portfolio and launched its first speaker in India. The brand has targeted the budget segment to attract users, which is already loaded with a lot of Bluetooth speakers, both in terms of size and sound. Realme’s new Cobble Bluetooth speaker comes in the Rs 5,000 price range and is being sold for Rs 1,799. It’s a portable speaker and here’s what we think about it.
The Realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker is a compact device and one can carry it anywhere. It is lightweight and can fit in your small bag as well. The base of the speaker has a soft rubber coating and a perforated grille on top for audio output. The device is very durable and feels very rough and tough in the hand.
It also has a fancy lanyard, so you can mount the speaker to the wall or anywhere else. The Realme Cobble Bluetooth speaker comes with an IPX5 rating, so it can survive a minor splash.
Reality has added only two buttons to the device to give a clean design to the users. One is the power button and the other is a multi-purpose button. You will see that “M” is written on the speaker, which can be used to skip to the next/previous track or play/pause the music. There is no button to adjust the volume. Users will have to rely on their phone to control music or volume.
One can download the Realme Link app, which offers three sound presets. You can use the same app to configure the “M” button. Realme also offers an auto-power off option in the app, which is a nice addition to save battery life. However, there is one thing that is missing – a 3.5mm jack, so one won’t be able to connect their audio device using an auxiliary cable. Pairing the speaker is easy and one can use the “M” button to enable pairing mode.

Realme’s Cobble Bluetooth speaker can surprisingly deliver good sound for its small size. It can certainly start a party in a small or medium sized room as it is capable of offering enough thumping and clear bass to please the average listener.
You will enjoy listening to songs from EDM artists like Martin Garrix, Marshmallow, Nicolas Jar and others. But the extra oomph is missing, which is to be expected. The speaker can reproduce bass notes well, but users will find great sub-bass notes with expensive speakers. Bollywood songs and pop music lovers will be delighted with this speaker. It’s tuned for boosted mids, so vocals and acoustic tracks sound very clear.
sDevices that have a lot of equipment separate properly, which is good because some affordable speakers are unable to do this. High treble frequencies are handled decently, but the speaker sounds louder at 85-90 percent volume. This was the case with select songs during my use.
Users can also link this device to other realme cobble speakers and enjoy stereo pairing. But it will cost twice as much. Frankly, a device can be a good companion speaker for video streaming. The speaker can be surprisingly loud and it’s also good for listening to podcasts.

Realme claims that its Cobble Bluetooth speaker can deliver up to 9 hours of battery life on a single charge. It has a 1,500mAh battery under the hood. I got a battery life of less than three hours at high volume levels and about five hours at slightly lower volumes. The result will probably depend on your volume levels and the amount of time you use it.
The Cobble Bluetooth speaker has a USB Type-C port for charging. If you have a high-wattage charger, it will take less than 25 minutes for the battery to fully charge. A 10W charger will take more than 2 hours.
The price of Reality Cobble Bluetooth Speaker is Rs 1,799. It is a budget speaker, which can deliver good sound and offers acceptable battery life. One can definitely consider buying this if they are looking for a good rugged speaker at an affordable price.
